I’m an archivist during the day and a writer and reader otherwise.
I grew up with 80s synthpop but didn’t know it lacked the edge I craved until I discovered the goth/industrial subculture, which in turn led me to various musical genres I still enjoy today. I’ve always enjoyed reading (novels in particular; my favorite writers are William Gibson, Mervyn Peake, H.P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, China Mieville, Haruki Murakami, and Anthony Burgess) and writing (poetry, short stories, and novels), and try to always have some projects going actively.
teutonkhamat is one of these projects. It is my attempt at providing informative reviews….the kind of reviews I like to read when seeking new music myself.
Despite my heavy interest in dark-leaning experimental electronic music and its various subcultures, my favorite band is the Cocteau Twins.
I also review sci-fi, fantasy, and related novels here.
